  • Tubing cutter
  • Safety glasses
  • Marking pencil

Check the Location and the Unit

  • Take the dishwashing machine out of the box.

Make a hole for the discharge and supply

If you didn’t have a dishwasher on the same location before, you need to cut a hole for the supply and discharge.

  • Use a hole saw and a power drill to cut a hole with bigger measurements than the ones of your dishwasher tubes’.

Hot Water

  • Install a new valve under your kitchen sink. Ideally, the new valve will have two outlets. You must connect one to your sink and another to your dishwasher.

Connect the Drain Line

  • Lay down the dishwasher so you can see the back of the appliance.
  • Check if all the connections are visible.
  • Take off the cap from the drain line connection.
  • If the water comes out, do not worry. Factories usually test the units before the shipping.
  • Connect the drain line to your dishwashing machine.
  • Tighten the drain line carefully to avoid future drainage issues.

Connect the Wires

Ensure the power is off.

  • Use the wire connectors to connect all the wires together.
  • Connect White to White, Black to Black, Ground (bare wire) to the grounding screw (it could also be a green wire) and tighten down with the wrench.
  • Connect the supply cord to the electrical outlet, previously installed under the sink.

Level the Dishwasher

  • Place the dishwashing machine under the countertop.
  • Adjust the height of the legs and level the countertop.
  • Use screws to secure your dishwashing machine to the countertop.

Turn on the Water and Power

  • Turn on the water supply. Return to the plumbing system under the sink and attach the drain line tightly. Inspect if there are any leaks.
  • Turn on the power supply at the breaker.
